John is the founder and CEO of MainStreet Financial Advisors, LLC, with over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has held the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification since 1996, and is a former member of the Financial Planning Association of Michigan.

John is also a Certified Kingdom Advisor®. This designation is provided by Kingdom Advisors, LLC, an international faith-based financial services organization that promotes biblically-based money principles.

John specializes in comprehensive financial planning strategies and tax planning solutions, investment planning and advice, and legacy planning for families who desire a smooth transition of family wealth from one generation to the next. He also offers tax planning recommendations for individuals and families who prioritize charitable giving in their finances.

John graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and has leadership roles within his local church in Kalamazoo, MI. John resides locally with his wife of over 30 years, Cheri. They have one son, Grant (deceased), and one grandson, Axle Lee. John enjoys most genres of music, participates in various sports (golf and pickleball, mainly), and enjoys traveling with Cheri.
